This FlexTrack Certified Medication Aide course will prepare CNAs for the additional challenge of passing medications in a long-term care setting. Cost of testing and book are included in the tuition. Students will complete 43 classroom hours on a flexible schedule. Students must complete the 43 mandatory seat hours within an 14-week period at the Shawnee campus plus 16 clinical hours. Clinical hours (16) will be scheduled separately. Students will complete an orientation class on Mondays at 1:00PM prior to beginning the CMA program. At that time, students will receive their book, LAP packets, and skills lab schedule. Prerequisites: 18 yrs. old, GED or HS diploma, current CNA plus 6-months experience working as a CNA. MUST BRING TWO negative TB skin tests within the last year, photo ID, CNA card and original Social Security card at the time of enrollment.
