This class meets the 48-hour requirement of GCTC's Practical Nursing Program and the Medical Office Assistant Certificate. This internet based course introduces prefixes, suffixes, and word roots used in the language of medicine. Topics include medical vocabulary and the terms that relate to the anatomy, physiology, pathological conditions, and treatment of selected systems. The mid-term and final exam for this course MUST be taken on campus. This is NOT a self-paced course, this is a 16 week class where students are required to complete one chapter each week. This is part of the Medical Office Assistant Certificate.
