This FlexTrack Certified Medication Aide course will prepare CNAs for the additional challenge of passing medications in a long-term care setting. Cost of testing and book are included in the tuition. Students will complete 43 classroom hours on a flexible schedule. Come in when it is convenient for you, during the following times: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM on Monday, Thursday, and Friday and 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday. Clinical hours (16) will be scheduled separately. Students will complete an orientation class on Mondays at 1:00 PM prior to beginning the CMA program. At that time, students will receive their book, LAP packets, and skills lab schedule. Students must complete 43 mandatory seat hours within an 11-week period at the Shawnee campus plus 16 clinical hours. Prerequisites: 18yrs. old, GED or HS diploma, current CNA plus 6 -months experience working as a CNA. MUST BRING TWO negative TB skin test results (7-10 days apart), CNA card, photo ID, and original Social Security card to enroll.
