Certified Medication Aide - FlexTrack CMA

This FlexTrack Certified Medication Aide course will prepare CNAs for the additional challenge of passing medications in a long-term care setting. Cost of testing and book are included in the tuition. Students will complete 43 classroom hours on a flexible schedule. Students must complete the 43 mandatory seat hours within a 14-week period at the Shawnee campus plus 16 clinical hours. Clinical hours will be scheduled separately. Students will complete an orientation class on Mondays at 1:00 PM prior to beginning the CMA program. At that time, students will receive their book, LAP packets, and skills lab schedule. Prerequisites: 18 yrs. old, GED or HS diploma, current CNA plus 6-months experience working as a CNA. Please read:  Our FlexTrack classes are very unique. You work at your own pace, coming in when it is convenient for you, and you have the option to complete the classes much quicker than you could in a traditional classroom setting. The FlexTrack classes are available from 8:00AM - 5:00PM on Mondays and Fridays and 8:00AM - 8:00PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. These hours of operation apply to all FlexTrack classes. All candidates must apply for acceptance into the program. The cost to apply is separate from all of other course & enrollment fees. The application process may take 1-4 weeks to complete and includes a background check, and drug screen. All candidates must apply for acceptance into the program. The cost to apply is separate from all of other course & enrollment fees and is non refundable. Candidates will be required to upload proof of negative Tuberculosis testing.
