Long-Term Care Nurse Aide - FlexTrack CNA

This FlexTrack Long-Term Care Nurse Aide course will prepare you to pass the two-part competency test to become a Certified Nurse Aide. At the completion of the class, you will take the skills and written tests to complete your certification. Cost of books, testing, and a stethoscope are included in the tuition. Students will complete 78 classroom/lab hours on a flexible schedule. Clinical hours (16) will be scheduled separately. Students will complete an orientation class on Mondays at 1:00 PM prior to beginning the CNA program. In orientation, students will receive their books, LAP packets, and skills lab schedule. Students must complete 78 mandatory seat hours within a 20-week period at the Shawnee campus for lectures, tests, web-based videos, practicing patient skills, and any other class requirements. Prerequisites: Completed application process, TWO negative TB skin test results, a valid photo ID, and original Social Security card.

Please read:  Students MUST attend an Orientation class on any Monday at 1:00 pm to begin the CNA Program. All candidates must apply for acceptance into the program. The cost to apply is separate from all of other course & enrollment fees and is non refundable. The application process may take 1-4 weeks to complete and includes a background check, and drug screening. Prerequisite to enroll: MUST HAVE TWO negative TB skin test results, a photo ID, and original Social Security card to enroll. Supplies needed (by 3rd week of class): 1 pair nursing scrubs: any color; plain white or black shoes, and a watch with a second hand.
